I’m working on the full video for my sister’s destination wedding from this summer, but here’s a little taste to hold you all off until I finish it. Enjoy!
Last June, Amy and Jason approached me with the idea of telling the story of how they came together. With a wedding of over 500 guests, not everyone knew how they met and fell in love, or even how Jason proposed. With a video, they hoped to make the wedding more meaningful for their guests by giving them the background of their relationship. Amy and Jason have an amazing story and I am thankful that they gave me the opportunity to put this together. Although I was extremely nervous debuting this to such a large live audience, it ended up being very well received. Hopefully I get to do more videos like these!
Lastly, thanks to Kevin Wong (who also ran an amazing photo booth at the wedding) for helping me with the video and to Scott and Amanda at Ambient Sky, the official wedding videographers, for letting me show my video before their same day edit.
Hurricane Paloma visited us on the day of the wedding, but that couldn’t stop my sister from having her beautiful Jamaican wedding. We had to push things back a day, but were rewarded with a day more spectacular than most. Thanks to the spectacular Punam Bean for letting me accompany her on the photography shoots.
Although my sister, Tiffany, and Jared were having their actual ceremony in Jamaica, we made a special day out of their courthouse ceremony in beautiful downtown Seattle. We had beautiful weather and the new courthouse is actually a beautiful setting. They were lucky enough to get a judge who spent a lot of time with us, doing more than just the shuffling through paperwork. Although, not shown in the video, we visited the roof of the building and got to take family photos as well.
